Female Scientific Illustrators

In this website I have predominately chosen to feature women who were scientific illustrators. I have digitally altered their work to enhance the color and bring a contemporary feeling to it.

These women were amazingly talented people who pursued their work out of passion and love for what they saw in the world around them.

They are underrepresented in the field, even though they contributed important research and astounding beauty to botany, horticulture, ecology and art.

I have included this page to bring them to light as people and have combed the internet to find out more about them. This is a compilation of that research.
